The insights in this State of Printing report are based on aggregated, de-identified data and research inputs from multiple Y Soft sources. Primary operational insights are derived from usage statistics of SAFEQ Cloud environments including a pool of more than 91,000 devices in 53 countries. To broaden coverage beyond cloud-native environments, the report also incorporates selected aggregated metrics derived from SAFEQ 6 environments.

In addition to usage statistics, the report is informed by a survey of IT professionals responsible for print and document infrastructure. This survey provides qualitative context on purchasing decisions, device preferences, security practices, and operational challenges, helping to validate and interpret trends observed in the usage statistics.

Finally, the report includes Y Soft internal commercial analysis based on global 2025 sales data, helping to contextualize device adoption patterns and investment trends alongside observed print behavior.
